As a company planning to sign the SBTi commitment letter in October 2023, can the base year be chosen as 2023 or 2024 ? Please advise on the same.

Committing to setting SBTs and submitting targets for SBTi validation are two separate steps. The base year used for target setting will need to be stated in the target submission form (rather than the commitment letter).
