Communication guideline question

Hello,

can I please get clarification on the communication guideline for a Bank/FI that has submitted the targets for validation by SBTi but where targets are not yet approved. The guideline states to be clear that the SBTi is yet to approve the near-term target.

Can an organization use the target wording that was used when submitting the form in their communication - as long as the communication clearly states that these are not yet approved? The guideline does not clearly state that.

I would recommend that you wait to publish the target wording until the target submission is validated by the SBTi since there may be some amendments needed during the validation process.
