I am a Japanese consultant and my cliants asked us about maintainance target and Net zero target.
As far as I know, to applying Net zero target, companies are required to have already approved near-term target but neat-term maintainance target could substitute for that?

I’m not sure what kind of maintenance target you are referring to but you can find an overview of the key criteria for corporate net-zero targets in this Getting Started Guide.
For financial institutions, which this Community Forum is meant for, the FI Net-Zero Standard is under development.
