Hello Folks, I want to inquire about the acceptance of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for offsetting Scope 1 emissions. We operate onsite gas gensets for electricity production. As part of their commitment with SBTi to reducing carbon emissions, we are exploring various avenues for offsetting their Scope 1 emissions. Could you kindly provide insights into whether RECs are considered an acceptable method for offsetting Scope 1 emissions in this context? Additionally, if there are specific criteria or guidelines that need to be met for the acceptance of RECs, we would greatly appreciate any information on that.
