Our company is composed of many Production Units. 1 one of them is willing to enter into the SBTi process as from now. I am pushing to enter it as a group, in engaging all the production units. What are your experiences with part of companies that are willing to progress faster - how can I explain them to wait for the group while not preventing them to progress : ) ? Thanks !
Companies should submit targets at the parent- or group level, not the subsidiary level. It is possible for a subsidiary to set targets if it is a legal entity but the parent company will still need to include the emissions of all subsidiaries in its target submission.
