Financial Institution but no financed emissions - SME route

Hi there,

I have come across a company that offers banking and financial services to banks but has no financed emissions footprint due to the type of services it provides. On that basis (and due to their size), would they be able to use the SME route? There is nothing applicable to them in the portfolio emissions elements of the guidance.

Hi Ana, in that case they would be considered a regular corporate (as they dont have relevant lending or investment activities). If they have less than 500 employees, they could use the SME route for companies.
