According to the SBTi guidance, SBTi is developing sector-specific SDA guidance for the 1) chemical and petrochemical industry and 2) oil and gas sector.

When will be the sector-specific SDA guidance or tool for the 1) chemical and petrochemical industry and 2) oil and gas sector developed? Also, will there be any other sectors for which the ‘SBTi Target Setting Tool’ will be developed in the future, and when?

Hi,
If there is no relevant sector pathway available for a company, does this mean that the company cannot use the SDA method?

Yes, the Portfolio Coverage or Temperature Rating method should be used instead.
